Morello cherry red with violet highlights, and a good balance in aroma between the liveliness and fruitiness of the dominant variety and the delicious oak nuances. Broad on the palate, with soft well-structured tannins and a rounded long pleasant finish.
This is copybook soft, seductive un-oak Rioja, made from 60% Tempranillo grapes with 40% Garnacha, the classic native red varieties of Rioja. The wine exhibits sweet plum and raspberry fruit, finishing with cedar and vanilla on the palate.
Clear and bright, medium lemon colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean with medium+ intensity aromas of coconut, vanilla, quince, biscuit, peaches and simple fruit notes. It's fully developed. It's dry in the mouth with a medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, medium body and medium intensity flavours of quince, coconut, vanilla and smoke.
Very attractive with citrus, grapefruit, pineapple and mandarin flavours. The perfect accompaniment to a whole range of fish and shellfish from mussels, clams and oysters to sardines, mackerel, skate and hake. Albarino is the product of its environment, a true wine of the sea.
